Mary Louise Wilson-Booker

September 10, 1949 — February 12, 2026

Mary Louise Wilson’s life was a beautiful testimony of love, faith, resilience, and second chances.

Born on September 10, 1949, in Dallas, Texas, Mary was the cherished daughter of Juanita Wilson and Finis Henry Wilson, both of whom preceded her in death. From her early childhood, Mary accepted Christ as her Savior, planting seeds of faith that would guide her through every season of her life. Her relationship with God was not just something she spoke about — it was something she lived.

Mary attended Roosevelt High School and graduated in 1968. It was during her high school years that she met a young man from Marshall, Texas, named Willie Booker. Willie was gifted with many talents — a skilled mechanic, construction worker, and contractor — but to Mary, he was simply her knight in shining armor. He swept her off her feet, and together they built a life and welcomed four beautiful children.

Though Mary and Willie divorced in 1982 after fourteen years of marriage, their story did not end there. Life took them down different paths, and Mary later met Anthony Parker, whom she dated for several years. From that relationship, she was blessed with a daughter Starcha’ Parker. Through every chapter, Mary remained devoted to her family and her faith.

Thirty years after their divorce, love found its way back. Mary and Willie reunited and remarried, proving that some bonds are never truly broken. They shared five more precious years together until June 2020, when Mary lost the love of her life to COVID. As a grieving widow, she carried her loss with quiet strength, holding tightly to the promise that this was not goodbye forever.

Mary worked in several fields throughout her life, but her true passion was serving as a retired teacher’s assistant and volunteering in schools. She found joy in helping adolescents learn to read and write. She believed education opened doors, and she gave her time freely to ensure young people felt seen, supported, and capable. Her patience, warmth, and gentle encouragement left lasting imprints on many young hearts.

On Thursday, February 12, 2026, Mary put on her wings and ascended to be with our Father, Jesus Christ. We can only imagine the joy in her heart as she was reunited with her beloved husband, Willie Booker, her son Willie Booker Jr., and her parents.

Mary is now reunited with her mom, Juanita Wilson; father, Finis Henry Wilson; husband, Willie Booker; and son, Willie Booker Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters: Juanita Gibson, Pearl Henry, Sherese Booker, and Starcha’ Parker. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Mark Simpson, Antwinette Wilson, Daniel Gibson, Jonathon Gibson, Belisha Gibson, Rayunn Henderson, Nazya Powe, Jalaan A. Booker, JaQuaylon Booker, Jalianna C. Wilson, and Jonathan B. Taylor formerly JaFinis F. Booker; great-grandchildren: Tyteanne Simpson, Akeem Wilson, and Kemiyon Wilson; and great-great-grandchildren: Kira Gibson and Miles Gibson; brother Woodrow Wilson; sisters: Patricia Alexander, Barbara Wilson and Anita Longoria, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mary Louise Wilson’s life will forever live in our hearts. Her legacy of faith, forgiveness, and enduring love will continue to shine through the generations she leaves behind.
