Juan Tejeda, passed away on January 21, 2026 at the age of 61. He was surrounded by loved ones and passed peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on December 3, 1964 in Abilene, TX, Juan lived a life rooted in family and hard work. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend, and his greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved most.
Juan is remembered for his generous heart and sense of humor and the way he made everyone feel welcomed. His steady presence and kind spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew him. In every role he held through his hobbies, career, or cherished routines he lived with intention, compassion, and integrity.
He is survived by his children, Matt Tejeda and his wife Marica Tejeda, Michael Tejeda, Victoria Tejeda and David Deleon, his grandchildren, Alyzae, Kylie, Johnmichael and Jexenia, his mother, Maria Mendez, his siblings, Mario Tejeda, Ismael Tejeda and Ana Garcia, and many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his former father in law, Joe Saucedo, his sisters, Priscilla Tejeda and Becky Alcantar, and his cousin Pete Villarreal.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am on February 5, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Flowers can be sent to Sacred Heart, 837 Jeanette St, Abilene, TX. 79602.
Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the time we had with Juan. His love, lessons, and legacy will live on through all who were blessed to know him.
