James Thomas Farmer, 70, passed away in God's care on August 18" in Waxahachie Texas. A faithful Catholic, Jim was a beloved member of St Joseph's Catholic Church and cherished by his family. Jim was born on August 23* 1954 in Wichita, Kansas to Joseph and MaryAnn Farmer.
Survived by wife Sharrell, brother Joe Farmer (Jayne), sisters Mary Corbett (Kevin) and Anne Rider (Calvin), children Autumn Helland (Jeff), Peter Farmer (Malaika), Robin Fox Dougherty, Brian Fox (Jennifer), Tim Farmer (Meagan), Bryan Dougherty and Lauren Adler Fox. Grandchildren Jaxon Fox, Charlotte Dougherty, Violet Dougherty, Lucy Dougherty, Joey Fox, Phillip Helland, Sam Helland, Olive Dougherty, Soren Farmer, Bridget Farmer, Peter Helland, Thomas Farmer, Samantha Farmer, Theresa Farmer and William Fox. Preceded in death by his parents and brothers Mike and Bill Farmer.
Jim had a gift for connecting with people and building lasting relationships. This was seen professionally in his extensive, global career in sales and corporate leadership where he was actively involved in the formation and growth of the software industry. Guided by the Holy Spirit and deep devotion to the rosary, he touched many lives in the church through his calm and genuine presence. This was especially impactful through his service in the RCIA program where he was able to use his ability to connect with people from all walks of life and share his deep faith. He was at peace in nature and would never turn down a quiet fishing trip with family. As a couple, Jim and Sharrel loved to host their friends and family.
